Help Jennifer Rise from the Ashes
Donation protected
My friend, Jennifer Mackenroth, is a talented jewelry-maker who just lost her whole business in a fire. No one was hurt, but her entire inventory, tools, and materials were destroyed. Please consider donating to help put her back in business! Any amount helps, thank you.
The Story:
On the morning of the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Jennifer Mackenroth and her husband packed up her entire handmade jewelry business into her dad’s pickup truck and began driving to her first of three shows she had been preparing for over the last few months. Shortly after they pulled onto the highway, they noticed smoke pouring out behind them. Her husband immediately pulled over and upon inspecting the truck noticed flaming fuel dripping from under the engine. They put distance between themselves and the truck and called 911. Within minutes, the entire truck lept into flames and there was no longer anything they could do but watch as Jennifer’s entire stock of jewelry that she had labored on in love over the last 3-4 months burned away before her eyes. Also lost were all of her tools and materials to continue making jewelry and all of her hand customized table displays and decorations. Her husband also lost his personal laptop which he had brought to set up a cyber-weekend sale for her business. Nothing inside the truck will be covered by insurance.
Though this has been a very difficult time emotionally for them, and especially for Jennifer, she is not about to give up on her passion and dream of making jewelry. Her husband has watched her build her business from almost nothing to where it was before the fire and she will build it again. She has already begun to plan out her next line of jewelry, but she could really use your help. She needs money to replace her tools and materials which she uses to handcraft each piece of jewelry as well as packaging, displays, decorations, and a new laptop. Anything you can donate to help her get her feet back under her and start her business moving forward again will be greatly appreciated!
