My name is Jennifer, and I’ve been in the hospital since December 3rd after a terrifying experience. I was left alone in my bed for two days without food or water, unable to get up or reach my phone after it fell to the floor. but I was left without help. I had to make myself fall to the floor just to try to get to my phone. Thankfully, paramedics broke down my door and rescued me, but the ordeal has left me shaken and struggling.

While I’ve been in the hospital, I lost my job and have fallen behind on everything—my rent for November, my car payment that was due at the end of October, and all my utility bills, including cable, cell phone, electricity, gas, and water. On top of that, I’m caring for my 75-year-old mom, who lives with me and has dementia. I’m also responsible for her cat and Piggy, who are both part of our family and need food and care as well. Making sure everyone is safe and cared for is my top priority, but right now, I’m overwhelmed and don’t know how I’ll manage it all.
