On November 18, 2025, I experienced a small stroke—a brain bleed that changed everything. I spent time in the hospital and then in a rehab center, working hard to regain my balance and address speech issues. My vision was also affected, and I now have no sight on my right side. Several surgeries are ahead to help restore my vision, but I’m managing as best I can each day.
While I was recovering, my roommate of four years decided to move out in January. Despite my rent being current, my belongings were put in storage so the landlord could raise the rent to a higher market value. This has left me searching for a smaller, more affordable place where I can continue my recovery and the progress I’ve made. I haven’t been able to coach during my illness, so my income has been impacted as well.
Any funds received will go towards physical therapy aids not covered by insurance, helping me with daily living costs as I get back on my feet and settle into a place. I guess we all think we're invincible, nothing has brought me to my knees like this. It's been scary, infuriating, a lesson in pride and humility. Any help you could give as I work to rebuild would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.
