On Sunday January 24, 2021 the fire began around 9:15am. The kids were getting ready for church when the fire began. Thankfully everyone got out of the house in time but the house is marked unlivable by the fire marshall.

Jen is a full-time cook at a Charles restaurant in Bayboro NC. She has two teenage children that live in the house.

The outside damage to the house was from hurricane Florence. They had some local agencies help with putting a new roof on the house and then putting the tarps on the exterior of the house. But the local agencies never actually came back to put dry wall up and fix the walls, so this is what the house was left like. 

They do not have any insurance nor a  place to live. Any donation will help the family out tremendously. They will be looking to rebuild a new home or get a house placed on the land.
