I left my job to care for my mother, who recently passed away from Alzheimer’s. After her death, I lost the house I was living in because it had to be sold to pay off a reverse mortgage. I haven’t been able to find a job due to health reasons that require me to stay home, and it’s been difficult to get hired at almost 60 years old. The rent where I’ve been living has used up all the money I had left, and I haven’t even been able to pay in full for this month.

The funds will help me cover rent, basic living expenses, and my car payment. If I lose my car, I won’t have anywhere to go if I have to leave my current place. This support is crucial for me to keep a roof over my head and maintain some stability while I work to get back on my feet.

I absolutely can’t stand having to ask for help because I’m always the person that helps everybody else. But I would be extremely grateful for any help. Whoever thought that I would be in this kind of situation, dealing with both of my parents being gone now, at the end of a divorce after 34 years, losing my house and my job. But I’m trying to pull myself out of this hole. Any help would mean the world to me and I might be able to pick myself up out of this.
