My Aunt Jennifer Periard has been struggling with health battles since the early 2000s. In 2022 she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. At the time she was referred to the mayo clinic in Minnesota for treatment. They removed half of her thyroid and though recovery was rough she came through. Earlier this year they found more cancer in the remaining part of her thyroid, and now her adrenal system is wreaking havoc on her body. She has consulted several doctors who have all told her the only way she can get better is to have yet another surgery. Here comes the tricky part... none of those doctors will preform the surgery due to it being high risk. Her blood pressure is now incredibly unstable even with the several medications they have prescribed to control it. Her heart is being affected by the constant hypertension. The only solution to recieve her surgery is to travel back to Mayo clinic in Minnesota. As they have the means and are willing to perform the surgery necessary for her to recover. Unfortunately after two years of battling illness she has depleted her savings. She does not have the money needed to travel there and pay for hotel stay and transportation to and from the clinic for an undetermined amount of time.

My Aunt has a heart of gold and would literally help anyone. In the past she has fed the homeless and has taken children into her home when they needed her. She does all of this and more even though she is so sick herself. If anyone can see it in their heart to donate whatever you are able it would be a blessing to our family.
