Hi friends, this is hard for me to write, but I’m asking for help because my current living situation is no longer safe for my health. I’ve lived in my apartment for the past 7 years, and leaving is bittersweet. This place has been home through a lot of life, and I never imagined I’d need to leave it this way. But over time, as I’ve started dialysis, my room has become overcrowded with medical supplies — including dozens of dialysis boxes that take up most of my space. Because of this, I’ve become a fall risk and have already been bruised trying to move around in such a tight area. My doctors and care team stress how important a safe, stable living environment is while on dialysis. Right now, I don’t have that.
I need to move into a place where I can walk safely, store my medical supplies properly, and recover without constantly worrying about falling. This decision isn’t about wanting something new — it’s about needing to be safe. The funds raised will go directly toward first month’s rent, security deposit, moving costs, utility deposits, and basic setup so my medical supplies can be stored safely. This move isn’t about comfort or luxury — it’s about safety, dignity, and being able to continue my medical treatment without risking injury in my own home.
If you’re able to help in any amount, I would be incredibly grateful. If you can’t donate, even sharing this means more than you know. Thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting me during a really vulnerable moment in my life.
