Jennifer is my wife, my best friend and a warrior. We met in November of 2017 through a dating app. We quickly fell in love and realized that we were simply perfect for each other. We married in September of 2019. Jennifer is a loving daughter, sister, friend, stepmom and wife. She loves life and brightens every room she steps in.
In February of 2022 at the age of 34 Jennifer was diagnosed with triple positive invasive ductal carcinoma, an aggressive form of breast cancer. At the time of diagnosis she was in between her first and second travel surgical tech assignments, now due to doctor appointments, upcoming treatments and surgeries she is unable to work. Being that she was doing contract work she doesn’t qualify for short term disability benefits like a full time employee would, this has left us in quite a bind. Within the last year we had bought a new house and a new car not expecting the emotional and financial burden that was coming our way.
Not so fun fact: 1 round of chemo cost about $125,000 without insurance.
Luckily we have decent insurance but the medical bills are already piling up. The money raised will go towards medical bills and keeping our house and car payments flowing while we are on one income. We are humbly asking for help and are committed to pay it forward once we are past this difficult time.
We will post updates as staging is complete and treatment begins. Cancer is scary but we are going to beat it. Help us kick cancer’s butt!
