Help Jennifer Hendrix Restore Her Safe Home

Hi, friends. My name is Deanna Wilkinson, empty nester, Pride of Oklahoma Alum, lover of live music in Norman, and concerned friend of the amazing Jennifer Hendrix and her family.

As I've spent time with Jennifer, I’ve witnessed her taking care of so many people. She loves her children fiercely, works hard at her job as a Speech Pathologist, is a kind and loyal friend to many, and often helps strangers who come across her path. She never hesitates to offer support wherever and whenever she can, and I'm always in awe of her expressions of compassion.

Jennifer owns a home in central Norman and has been dealing with major repairs from a mold issue and then a kitchen fire in the past couple of years. Insurance only covered a portion of the damage and repairs remain uncompleted. This past week, after dealing with unexplained health issues, Jennifer paid to have another mold test completed on her home. She has just received the devastating news that her whole house is in need of mold remediation, including a compromised HVAC system.

As a single mom, Jennifer is getting by paycheck to paycheck. The financial burden of the mold is overwhelming, so I'm reaching out to you on Jennifer's behalf to ask for your help. If you can contribute financially, the funds will be used to help with Jennifer's insurance deductible and any repairs her insurance won't cover. If you're handy, she could probably use your help with repairs once the mold is removed. I want her to be able to live in a safe home and also a home that isn't in disarray from unfinished repairs. If you're a great cook, maybe offer a meal for her and her kiddo. If you have an awesome social network, spread the word. I have no doubt Jennifer would be the first one to show up if she knew she could help someone else, even if she didn't know them. So, let's show up for her in this time of need.
