I’ve had heart problems my whole life. I have a pacemaker and have always tried to stay strong, but recently things have become much more difficult. I started experiencing unexplained chest pains and was diagnosed with coronary artery spasms. My doctors discovered that my arteries are closing off over 90%, which has already caused me to have four small heart attacks. Because of this, my heart has become so weak that I can no longer work in the industry I have loved and built for 13 years. Losing my ability to work has been incredibly hard, not just financially, but emotionally as well. I miss the sense of purpose my job gave me, and most of all, I miss being able to play with my grandbabies and enjoy life to the fullest. My doctor has recommended a treatment called EECP, which he believes could help strengthen my heart and give me a real chance at recovery and better medication management. This treatment is designed to build extra blood flow through my heart, so even if my arteries close off, I have a better chance of still having some blood flow. This will make my heart stronger, but the longer I go without treatment, the weaker my heart will get and the greater the risk of a massive heart attack, what doctors call a 'widow maker.' Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover this treatment, and the costs are more than I can manage on my own. The funds raised here will go directly toward the EECP treatment, giving me hope that I can get back to living my life, working, and spending precious time with my family. I am reaching out for help because I truly believe this treatment could make all the difference. Any support—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing my story, or even just a prayer—would mean the world to me. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering helping me on this journey to recovery.
