My name is Jennifer McColley. I am legally blind, have a spinal cord injury, and use a wheelchair. Life has been challenging lately, and I am very limited in what I can do. I am on disability and have been trying every side hustle I can think of, searching for a part-time job online, and working with the Arizona senator for the blind and visually impaired to find opportunities, but it’s been tough.
Recently, I fell behind on bills, and our family vehicle—which my teenagers drive—was repossessed. My daughter uses the car to go to college, work, and take us to church. Without it, we would be very destitute and unable to get to the grocery store or other essential places. This vehicle is essential for us, helping me care for my three teenagers, our animals, and myself. Without it, daily life becomes even more difficult, especially as I try to pull us through these hard times.
