Jennifer Dowers is my mom, and she has always done everything she can to take care of our family. Recently, my sister and I were in a serious car accident that changed our lives. We both now rely on medical equipment like hemi walkers and a wheelchair to get around. When we were released from the hospital, it became clear that our current car just isn’t big enough for all of us and the equipment we need. We can barely squeeze in, and having to hold walkers on our laps while the wheelchair is crammed in the trunk isn’t just uncomfortable—it’s dangerous. After being badly injured in one accident, the thought of being at risk again because of our car is terrifying. If another accident were to happen, we could be seriously hurt or even worse, especially with the injuries we’re already dealing with.
A new vehicle would make a world of difference for us. It would mean we could travel safely to our many upcoming doctor’s appointments and handle daily life without fear. Most importantly, it would give us peace of mind knowing that we’re not putting ourselves in harm’s way every time we get in the car.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, prayed, or supported our family as my sister and I heal from our accident. Your kindness means more than words can say, and we are so grateful for any help you can give.
