Friends, neighbors, and the Perry Community... We are posting today in hopes of helping one of our own. Resident and Perry alumni Jennifer Cameron Baum desperately needs our help. In October of 2024, an unexplainable episode with her eyes left her unable to see. Then, in February of this year, Jennifer found out she has throat cancer, and at the time she was supposed to be going through chemo/radiation, she suffered a stroke. She has spent nearly the last 3 months learning to speak and walk again. Despite her fight and determination, she has been unable to work and has watched her house go into active foreclosure. Her fiancé and caregiver, Brad, stays with her. Despite doing what he can, he is unable to take on everything with her care. Their only running vehicle needs major work done, so if they need to travel a distance, they are dependent on Laketran.

No donation is too small and even sharing can help her out.

With all she has to deal with, if we can help her out financially to save her home while she puts her energy into getting stronger and healthier, it would be a tremendous relief. All donations will go directly to the mortgage company and repair shop for the vehicle.

Jennifer and her attorney have been applying for disability for over a year but as of right now it has been denied. I don’t know how much worse off she has to get before she finally gets approved. No one should have to fight for their life and home at the same time.
