Hi, my name is Farrah, and I'm starting this fundraiser on behalf of my friend, Jennifer Klarner, who urgently needs help to leave an abusive and controlling relationship.

Jennifer is currently in a situation where she is being financially controlled by her boyfriend, who frequently drains their shared account to prevent her from gaining independence. On top of this, Jennifer has been struggling with serious medical issues that have left her unable to work and in and out of the hospital. She's trying to break free — but she cannot do it alone.

Jennifer has a safe place waiting for her in Arizona, where she can start to heal and rebuild her life. Your support will go directly toward:

• Renting a car to drive safely to Arizona

• Getting a new cell phone and number (so she can be free from surveillance and regain her privacy)

• Purchasing essential items like clothes, toiletries, and food while she gets back on her feet
