In early November 2020 Jennifer contracted COVID 19.  She was hospitalized on November 14th after being found unresponsive by her daughter Bella.  The COVID virus caused multiple blood clots which led to a stroke which has left Jennifer completely paralyzed on the right side as well as limiting her speaking ability.  Being the fighter she is, Jennifer battled and battled the virus for over 5 weeks in intensive care and an additional 3 weeks in a rehabilitation facility.  Jennifer was released in early January, and now goes to therapy 5 days a week.

The virus has not only wreaked havoc on Jennifer, but on her two wonderful children as well.   Jennifer is a single mom and has been raising her amazing children alone.  Jack her oldest at 22, is serving our country in the United States Marine Corp, and her daughter Bella who is the sweetest 15 year old girl, is an excellent student enrolled in many honors and AP classes as well being a member of the National Honors Society.

Jennifer and Bella are now living with her mother.  Her supportive, loving, and helpful siblings, brother Chris and sisters Karrie and Lynn provide 24/7 care for Jennifer as well as assist Jennifer in raising Bella. Jennifer wakes up every morning with a positive attitude and is doing everything possible to recover and return to doing all the things she loves.  She has made great strides but still has a long road ahead of her. 

Jennifer began working with me at IBEW Local 9 in 2008.  She soon became a friend.   She loved her job and lit up the office with her infectious laugh and beautiful smile.  Jennifer enjoyed helping the members and went out of her way to offer assistance to them.  She is the type of woman who is always there help anyone she can and right now Jennifer needs your help.

Jennifer cannot work right now, and based on her recovery so far, she will not be able to work for the foreseeable future. We are raising money to help cover medical bills from her long hospital stay, medical visits, continued therapy and 24/7 care.
