On Dec 29th, I heard the words 'you have breast cancer,' after going to my annual mammogram. I wasn't expecting it since I was only 49. After many tests, I found out I have Stage 3, Her2, ER, and PR positive breast cancer, which also moved to a few lymph nodes. This cancer feeds off my progesterone, and it is the aggressive kind. So I had to up the chemo plan. First-round started at the beginning of February, and I thought I could work during recovery. I was wrong. I need to go on short-term disability. My chemo will go until June, then surgery in Boston, and radiation.
With the encouragement of my Life Coach, Nurse Chrissie, she suggested I start this page- to help alleviate the stress and lighten the burden of the cancer expenses. As most of you know, I am very private and have difficulty asking for help. However, every effort, positive thought, and prayer are sincerely appreciated.
I want to fight this- but need your help.
Love, Jennifer :)
