Doctors are now preparing to perform a heart catheterization to assess the next steps for her treatment.

Her daughter, Trista, recently spent four months in Africa for a mission trip and has experienced significant health issues since returning. She has a slightly enlarged heart, a leaky valve, and an enlarged spot on her uterus. She has been in and out of the emergency room due to fainting spells and other concerning symptoms. Doctors suspect she may have contracted an infection through her bloodstream during a root canal procedure in Africa. She is currently seeing multiple infectious disease specialists and cardiologists to determine the cause and best course of treatment.

Between hospital stays, specialist visits, and ongoing medical tests, their family has been traveling extensively, facing mounting medical expenses, along with costs for gas and food.
