I'm Jennifer Alexander and on February 10, 2025, I experienced extreme physical pain, which led me to go to the ER where a 7-inch mass was found on my left ovary. I was referred to a gynecologist for surgical removal of the mass. The OBGYN informed me there were many red flags that the mass was cancerous and referred me to an oncologist. Blood tests were run and two cancer antigen tests came back with extremely high results. The oncologist could not completely confirm the mass to be cancerous, but given my extensive family history of cancer and all other factors, it is highly probable.
I am now in the process of scheduling surgery to investigate and remove the mass. If it is cancerous, they will perform a full hysterectomy as well as remove any areas found with cancer cells.
Due to the incredible amount of pain, I have not been able to work for the past 3 weeks and will be unable to work until the surgery and 6 weeks after. I am the sole provider for myself as well as my 69-year-old mother who is currently fighting her own battle with stage 4 breast cancer. The out-of-pocket medical costs have already nearly depleted my savings with even more costs to occur. My mother and I need all the financial help we can get to make it through the next couple of months.
