Our family is asking for help during one of the most difficult times we’ve ever faced. My sister Jennifer is a mother of six children. Recently, her life was changed in an instant after becoming the victim of a devastating act of domestic violence. She sustained severe injuries and has already undergone 2 surgeries. She is currently in the hospital facing a long and uncertain road to recovery. Jennifer is strong but her injuries are serious. She is dealing with trauma to her body, including damage to her spine. While we are grateful she is still with us, the physical, emotional, and financial impact on her and her children is overwhelming. As a single mother of six, Jennifer is the heart for her family. She is unable to work and will need ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and support as she heals. Her children are also navigating the emotional toll of this trauma while trying to stay strong for their mom. We are raising funds to help cover: medical expenses and ongoing treatment, rehabilitation and in home care, safe housing and relocation if needed, daily living expenses for her and children, and counseling and support services for the family.
