Our IVF Journey

Hi, we’re Jennifer and David.

We’ve been trying to grow our family for the past three years. After two years of heartbreak and negative pregnancy tests, we began searching for answers. That search led us down the path of infertility testing, where we quickly learned that our insurance wouldn’t cover any IVF-related procedures.

In order to make IVF possible, we had to look outside the U.S.—and in May 2024, we began our journey with an IVF clinic in Tijuana, Mexico.

Our first egg retrieval was in June 2024, and we were so hopeful after getting 6 embryos. We transferred two embryos on June 14, 2024, but sadly, the transfer failed—there was no implantation.

We were heartbroken, but we pushed forward. After saving up again, we did a second transfer in September 2024, which resulted in a chemical pregnancy. More genetic testing revealed the need for additional medications during transfers.

We did our third and final transfer in January 2025 with our last two embryos. We were cautiously hopeful—but unfortunately, that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 7 weeks.

Never in our wildest dreams did we think we’d go through 3 IVF transfers, use all 6 of our embryos, and still not have a baby in our arms.

We don’t want our journey to end here, but financially, we just can’t afford another round of IVF on our own. Any support, no matter the size, means the world to us as we continue trying to grow our family.
