On March 10, 2026, my life changed in an instant when a reckless driver ran a red light and crashed into me while I was turning left on a protected green arrow. My cargo van campervan, which has been my home for the past five years, was destroyed. This van was more than just a place to live—it was the foundation of my outdoor adventure nonprofit, Hike Bike Alke, where I help veterans with PTSD and trauma survivors find healing in nature.
Now, I find myself without a home and unable to continue the work that means so much to me and to those I serve. As a service connected disabled veteran living on a fixed income, I simply do not have the resources to replace my van and rebuild my life on my own. The loss has left me feeling vulnerable, but I am determined to keep moving forward and continue supporting my community.
I am reaching out for help to purchase a new cargo van and rebuild my tiny home on wheels. Any support you can offer would mean the world to me. Your generosity will not only give me a safe place to live, but also allow me to continue helping others heal through nature. Thank you for considering a donation or sharing my story.
