Help Jennie Fight for Her Life: Urgent Support Needed
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Michael Bosch, and I’m fundraising for my dear friend Jennifer “Jennie” Kulik, a loving mother who has endured more pain and loss than anyone should ever have to.
At just 25 years old, Jennie was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes—caused by the medication Zyprexa, which at the time had no warning about its severe side effects. Despite managing her condition for over 20 years, her health began to decline rapidly.
While dealing with dizziness and suspected vertigo herself, tragedy struck—her husband Dan passed away from diabetes complications. Just 19 days later, their daughter turned 8. On that same morning, their only car was repossessed at 3 a.m. It was a crushing blow, but Jennie had no choice but to keep on going for her daughter.
She became caretaker to Dan’s mother, who was blind and suffered a stroke shortly after. As her own health worsened, Jennie lost vision in her left eye and was forced to move back to Smithton in search of support. Then came another devastating blow: a broken leg and a diagnosis of low-grade B-cell lymphoma in her right groin.
Now, she is in the fight of her life.
Jennie is undergoing dialysis three times a week and has been diagnosed with calciphylaxis, a rare and extremely painful condition where calcium builds up in the blood vessels of the fat and skin tissues. What she thought was swelling (edema) turned out to be something much more serious. During dialysis, the fluid removal causes such severe pain in her legs that she can only endure two hours instead of the required three.
Despite everything, she continues to fight with strength, courage, and love for her daughter.
But the truth is—she is in dire need. She is battling chronic pain, disability, and financial hardship. Every day is a struggle to survive, and she needs help now more than ever.
