Help Jenna’s Recovery

On February 16th 2021 Mr. and Mrs. Wieneke had a Sheriff knock on their door informing them their daughter has been in a motorcycle accident on US Highway 19, someone had pulled out in front of her. Her parents rushed to the hospital to find out Jenna was in severe trauma and critical condition. They were informed they would have to say good bye to their daughter that night because she would not make it until morning with the amount of injuries she endured. She had massive internal bleeding from her pelvis and face and received at least 24 units of blood. She broke most if the bones in her face, both of her wrists and separated her pelvis. She was wearing all her gear and a helmet which saved her life. While in the trauma department she went into cardiac arrest twice. Jenna spent the next 4 weeks in ICU while enduring multiple surgeries. When she finally woke she was unable to see and could not speak due to the intubation in her throat and her mouth wired shut. Her only means to communicate at the time was to write one letter at a time on a dry erase board with her left had in a cast. 
After some time in rehab she was able to go home. She had to stay in a wheel chair for 2 months. After going to a eye specialist we were informed there was too much damage to her optical nerves and she would never see again. Her left eye is completely dark and she can only see some shadows in half of her right eye. 

Jenna was working at trying to become chef in a kitchen and hopes to be able to work in a kitchen again. 
She is currently working on the last step to getting her dental repairs made to replace the teeth she has lost.
