Help Jenna With Guillain-Barré Syndrome
Donation protected
My cousin Jennalyse (6 years old) was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Guillain-Barré Syndrome is a rare disorder in which your body's immune system attacks your nerves.
In Jenna’s case the symptoms spread quickly, causing paralysis in her legs and arms and excruciating pain throughout her arms, legs, and neck from nerve damage. Most people with the condition must be hospitalized to receive treatment. The exact cause of Guillain-Barre is unknown. There is also no cure, but treatment can ease the symptoms and aid recovery.
Jennalyse was rushed to the emergency room, not being able to move on 12/26/18. She has been receiving care in the Pediatric ICU since then. Her recovery has been slow but thanks to the intervention her respiratory and digestive system have not been affected. Her family consists of a mother Jessica, her 3 younger siblings, and her father Brandon who is the only supporter of the family.
Doctors have told the family that it will be up to 3-6 month of treatment and physical/occupational therapy before she fully recovers. She is suffering tremendously and needs all the help she can get. Funds donated will help with hospital and treatment expenses. The situation is urgent and important to the Vargas Family because they never expected one of their little ones to be diagnosed with this rare condition. Please help in any way you can. We thank you for any assistance and for taking the time to read about our cause. We will provide updates of her condition as time progresses. Thank you.
