I was recently laid off from my job of over 2 years because they decided to eliminated my position. At the same time, I was in a legal battle with my leasing company because they decided abruptly to not renew my lease and also to not accept any of my payments. After not accepting my payments, they decided to sue me for eviction and I am now in negotiations with them contingent.
I was able to quickly find a new home, but wasn't prepared financially to put down a deposit and 1st month's rent at that time. I was counting on receiving an entire month's pay but was laid off on the 6th of February leading to a severe financial setback for myself and my son.
I have applied for whatever public assistance is available but many of them have waiting times and will not help with my moving expenses. I am set to receive my first unemployment check/deposit this week, hopefully.
In order to move out and my leasing company not continuing their eviction proceedings, I have to have my home professionally cleaned, professionally carpet cleaned and be out by the morning of the 27th. Additionally, I take several very expensive medications and while I wait for Medicaid to start, I have very little funds to pay for them, all of them are 100% needed and not optional medications.
Thanks in advance!
