Hello, my name is Jenna and I’m currently trying to get a POTS service dog. I have a 3 year old and 5 year old little boys and a husband who is Active Duty in the Army. From POTS I pass out often and at times it gets critical and someone needs to call 911 because my blood pressure and o2 levels drop so low to a point where I’d quickly die without getting help. I’m scared to go out on my own because I won’t know when I’m going to pass out. I’ve passed out alone in the middle of the road trying to enter a store. A car came and had to stop so they wouldn’t hit me. I’m also terrified of being alone at home with my kids. I’m worried I won’t get the medical help I need and my children being in danger without anyone watching them for a length of time. Due to my husband’s job he’s away on TDY, in the field, or deployed for 9 months at a time. I would really appreciate the help and comfort of a service dog. I will feel like I would get my independence back.
