Hi, my name is Jenna Digirolamo. I have an 11 year old son named Miles. Our home burned down about a month ago. The fire claimed nearly everything that Miles and I owned, including a beloved pet. To further complicate matters, the house was originally my grandfather's. After he died, the house was neglected. Eventually falling to a state of disrepair. I began rehabilitation on the house with promise from family that the house would be signed over to me. However, once the house was habitable the legal owner decided to move into the 2 bedroom house with my son and I. The deed was never signed over as promised.

A month ago an electrical fire distroyed the house. I sustained injuries to both hands and arms in the process of saving Miles and 3 of our pets. There were no human lives lost. There was an insurance policy but, it was not in my name. Therefore, Miles and I are left to attempt to rebuild our lives without any financial support. I am working, but my injuries have made this more difficult.

The 24k is the total from the itemized list of property lost. It's unlikely those items would all be replaced. The funding would be applied to clothing, a computer for school, replacement of Miles' Xbox, and down payment toward a new home.

This fire has taken an emotional and financial toll on Miles and I. Any amount helps so that we may move on as soon as possible. Thank you!
