Help Jenna and Her Son Stay Housed and Supported

Jenna is a gentle, radiant soul who has spent years caring for others through her work as a yoga teacher at Buddhi Yoga and as a nurturing nanny. Now she is being called to extend that same strength and compassion to herself and her two-and-a-half-year-old son as they rebuild their lives.

Recently, Jenna’s husband was arrested for domestic violence and is now detained indefinitely by ICE. He had been their primary source of income, and his detention means he is unable to provide any financial or child support. Overnight, Jenna became the sole provider and caregiver—facing every expense on her own while navigating the deep emotional aftermath of surviving domestic violence and and doing everything she can to create safety and stability for her little boy.

With the help of a local homelessness prevention program, October’s rent was covered, and she is currently using WIC to feed her son. Beyond this month, she has no way to cover rent, utilities, and basic needs on a single income. She is also carrying additional bills and debts that she is now fully responsible for. On top of that, she is locked into a lease that would require multiple months of rent to break, adding another layer of financial strain and preventing her from accessing more affordable housing.

Even in the midst of this hardship, Jenna continues to show up for her community with courage and heart. She teaches yoga, holds space for others' healing, and is discovering her own power and voice as she steps into this next chapter.
