This is Banks, a very sick kitty. If you have ever been to Jenna and Carl’s home, you already know Banks as the coolest, sweetest, friendliest Maine Coon you have ever met. Maybe, the only Maine Coon you have ever met?

Banks doesn’t meet a stranger. He is 4 years old and was a gift to Jenna from Carl to help mend her heart after losing her best friend, Widget, back in 2021. At that time, she didn’t even believe she could love another cat so much. Banks came as a kitten, who was already the size of a regular cat, and seemed to say to Carl, “Watch me take your girl.”

Over the weekend, out of nowhere, Banks became very ill, and Jenna and Carl's regular vet couldn’t seem to figure out what is making him so ill. He was transferred to a specialist, but the vet bills are stacking up, with thousands already spent and still no definitive answers. The treatment they are suggesting costs thousands more, at the worst possible time.

Jenna has surgery scheduled herself this Friday, and I cannot bear to think my girl has to worry over the cost of saving Banks during such an important time, when finances are so critical already. So, I thought, how can I help? We are a hardworking family and have never even considered a GoFundMe.
