Hello my name is Katie Jefferson (Hamilton) and I am fundraising for my best friend and sister, Jennifer Whipple in asking for help during what is a difficult time for so many.

Wednesday, August 4th the Dixie Fire blew though Greenville, Ca and devastated the entire community and much of Indian Valley. Like so many others, Jenn and her parents (Jerry & Cherie Whipple) both lost their homes and a commercial building to the raging wildfire.

Jenn is a 2006, Greenville High School graduate and lifetime valley native. After collage and the fire academy she worked for CalFire for 10 years until she was forced to medically retire. In 2017, her grandmother, Barbra Whipple required more assistance and without hesitation she answered the call and returned to Greenville to help care for her. In 2019 she graduated from nursing school and was quickly hired on my both the Plumas County Public Health Department and Plumas District Hospital.

As anyone who knows Jenn, recognizes that she is the most selfless, compassionate and honest person. Jenn would literally give you the shirt off her back and the shoes off her feet. She is fast friend with anyone she meets and loves her community more than anything. As I know Jenn would never ask for help herself, I am asking for her. Any of the fund raised would go to replacing items such as basic necessities including new linens, clothing, toiletries, furnishing and even help replace her nursing license.

I know that there are many in need and Jenn would be grateful for the prayers, love, thoughts, and if possible, financial donations. I guarantee all funds will be used with the greatest intention of seeing this community and family flourish again in the place that we all love most.
