Help Jenn Fight Multiple Sclerosis!

We need your help to give the gift of life-changing medical treatment to someone who gives so much to so many...
Jenniffer is a devoted mom, loving wife, amazing daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Her life has always been active, full of beauty and creativity, whether it be riding horses, taking her dogs on walks, making all kinds of art, reigning as queen of her Kingdom in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), or bringing love and joy to her dog-grooming customers. She is a true light in the lives of so many people, not least her husband Brett and 4-year-old daughter Ayden Brooke.
In 2012, at the age of 39, Jenn was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS). PPMS, unlike relapsing forms of MS, primarily targets the spinal cord and results in increasing disability along the timeline of the disease. As a result, people with PPMS tend to experience more problems with mobility and have greater difficulty with everyday tasks and the challenges of the workforce.
Jenn still enjoys her life and stays as active as she can, but the PPMS is taking its toll on her mobility, ability to work, and ability to live life to the fullest and engage as actively in Ayden's life as she wants to. She is no longer able to work full-time at her grooming job, and uses a mobility chair to get around. PPMS is a cruel and unpredictable disease - painful, debilitating, exhausting and demoralizing - and as the name suggests, its progression continues relentlessly.
Luckily, there is a treatment option that can help! Hematopioetic Stem Cell Transplant, or HSCT, is a revolutionary procedure that has recently been getting attention for its results in patients with Multiple Sclerosis. The treatment "reprograms" the body's cells to resist the disease's attacks on the auto-immune system. HSCT has been known to radically slow or even halt the progression of MS.
Learn more about HSCT here!
Unfortunately, the cost of HSCT is high, and the number of clinics around the world which offer it is very small. But thanks to her family's relentless determination to find her the best treatment available, we've learned she has a chance to get this treatment in Mexico for half the cost of what it would be here in the U.S! We need to raise $80,000 to get Jenn this life-altering treatment.
Our goal is to get Jenn this treatment as soon as possible. PPMS doesn't wait for anyone, and the sooner she can get into treatment, the better her prospects for halting the aggressive onslaught of this disease!
With much love and many thanks,
the Lenartz/Henshaw family
