Hello friends, I hate to do this but it's been a real doozy of a year.  I have been unable to work most of it due to Covid and the ongoing restrictions in Melbourne. My Mom passed away suddenly at the end of August, meaning I needed to travel from my very locked down home of Melbourne to Medicine Hat, Canada. Naturally international travel at this time doesn't come easy or cheap.  Flights totalled $5000.  Mandatory hotel quarantine on my return also cost $3000. My Mom was on a disability benefit, meaning there was no estate for me to inherit once her funeral was paid for. While I was in Canada I also found out that the restaurant I work for is closing; meaning my recently acquired full time job and government assistance through it are no longer available. I was banking on returning to this job as a means to pay for my trip.  My partner has been an amazing help during this time, but it's unrealistic that she supports me entirely. So this is where I swallow my pride and humbly ask for whatever help you can offer. I understand this has been a tough year for many folks. Anything is appreciated and gratefully accepted. Any funds raised will be used to help cover the cost of my mandatory hotel quarantine and offset the cost of my trip. Thanks in advance, and big big love to you all. ♡♡♡
