Help Jeni Heal: Heart Surgery & Kidney Transplant Journey

Hi, my name is Tammy, and I'm asking for help on behalf of my dear friend and coworker Jeni Mahan.

Jeni has spent the last 35 years as a registered nurse in the operating room, caring for patients during some of the most critical moments of their lives. Now she's the one in need of support.

She has been in kidney failure for 4 years and on dialysis for 3 years. In order to qualify for a kidney transplant, Jeni must first undergo open heart surgery to replace her aortic valve. This is a major, life-changing procedure and a necessary step toward getting on the transplant list.

This journey has taken a tremendous physical, emotional, and financial toll. Jeni has exhausted her paid time off and has already used much of her FMLA. During her recovery, she will be unable to work, while still continuing dialysis and preparing for the next stage of her transplant journey.

We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help ease the burden during this critical time. These funds will go toward:

Medical bills and treatment-related expenses

Rent and household bills

Essential daily living costs during her recovery

Jeni has spent decades caring and advocating for others- now she needs our support.
