Help Jenae and Her Family Fight Cancer!

Hi, my name is Hailee, and I am Jenae's sister.
Many of you know that Jenae was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2022. At the time, we all believed it was Stage II and curable. We dealt with the challenges as a family and celebrated when she finished treatment. Unfortunately, on Friday, February 24 we were told the devastating news that the cancer was metastatic. This means cancer has spread from her cervix to her lymph nodes.
As I write this, Jenae is in the emergency room getting help managing her pain. The pain started in January, after participating in a workshop. It started in her back and then moved to her hip and leg. Her pain has been at a consistent 8-10, and while she never cried during an unmedicated childbirth, she's been crying from this. This pain she's feeling is making it impossible to live comfortably. She can't sleep through the night or focus during the day. Prescription painkillers are not helping, which is why the hospital held her overnight on March 2. They found through an MRI that the tumors in her lymph nodes are pushing against her sciatic nerve, kidney, and bulging disks.
Jenae also works two jobs. One of those jobs is a pole dancing instructor. She found passion in pole dancing, healed through movement, and found a loving community. As you can imagine, though, she can no longer dance. Her other job takes focus and time, and with her consistent pain and upcoming chemo, the full-time aspect of it is unrealistic.
Our family is used to taking care of things ourselves, and we don't always like asking for help, but we're asking now. We need help caring for Jenae and her family.
She is going to start chemo soon and then transition to immunotherapy and targeted treatment. Her chemotherapy will last four to five months, and she will become nauseous, fatigued, and lose her hair. The immunotherapy treatment could last up to two years, depending on how responsive she is to it. While we have every intention of Jenae beating the odds, a study done on this treatment showed one in five responded to it, and of those that didn't respond, the life expectancy was two to five years. Her doctor, however, poignantly pointed out that Jenae is not average in any way, and we agree!
With the loss of income, we need Jenae to focus on getting well and not worry about the financial obligations associated with her treatment. She's also created a bucket list of things to do with her daughter, Aspen. The top item on her list currently is taking Aspen to Disney World.
Someone recently told me that they hate when bad things happen to good people, and I responded that Jenae is the best of the good people. I feel privileged and lucky to have Jenae as my sister. For as long as I have her, I will be grateful for the love, light, empathy, and strength she's always given to me and our family. If you've ever met her, she's likely given you these gifts too, even when we may not have deserved them.
She's the best of the good people and needs some help. Please consider donating, and if you can't, our family asks for thoughts, positive vibes, and/or prayers.
