Help Jena Rogers Heal

Everyone who knows Jena Rogers knows just how much she does for her friends, family, and the community.

We recently found out that Jena has a brain tumor, which has impacted her motor function and left her paralyzed on the left side of her body.

Jena was admitted to Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital on Sunday, Feb 17th after experiencing a partial seizure. Over the month preceding the seizure, she experienced gradually intensifying weakness and paralysis in her left arm and leg. It was at SVMH that a CAT scan revealed the presence of a large tumor in the middle of her brain.

Thankfully, Jena has insurance through her employer, the SPCA of Monterey County, which will cover some of her medical expenses, however, the insurance won't cover everything.

She and her family are facing months of continuous medical care, surgery, and rehabilitation, with high costs beyond what insurance will cover. Any and all contributions that her friends, family, and community can provide will be instrumental in supporting Jena's recuperation.

We thank you for your time reading this, and for any support you can provide.

ABOUT JENA
Jena Rogers is a kind, caring figure to all who get to know her.

She has always been a dedicated contributor to her community, volunteering to lead fundraisers, manage trip logistics, and support many student activities for the marching band and dance company at North County high school where her children attended, as well as  Natividad 4-H club, Girl Scout troops, sports teams, and more.

After her two daughters graduated high school and moved away, Jena continued to give back to her community by volunteering at, and later being hired full time by the Monterey County SPCA's Benefit Shop, where her work helped raise thousands of dollars each month to go towards necessary care and supplies for animals rescued by the SPCA.

Jena has always been a pillar of strength for her family. She has been a key care provider for her elderly mother, father, step-mother, and brother (recently handicapped), driving them each to medical appointments, managing and distributing all their prescriptions, and assisting them with groceries, bills, and general home up-keep.

As a mother and beloved member of various Monterey county communities for most of her life, Jena has never sought praise or personal benefit from those she has worked her life to lift up. She is a humble, hard-working, loving person who touches everyone she meets in a positive way.
