Help My Mom Focus on Healing

My mom would never ask for help herself, which is why I am asking on her behalf.

Recently, doctors discovered a tumor on her kidney, and she will be undergoing a full nephrectomy (kidney removal) to remove it. While we are hopeful for a successful surgery and recovery, she will be unable to work for approximately 4–6 weeks while she heals.

Anyone who knows my mom knows she is one of the first people to help others and one of the last people to ask for help herself. She is hardworking, independent, and always finds a way to take care of those around her. The thought of creating a fundraiser for herself would make her uncomfortable, but I know the financial stress of being out of work while recovering is weighing heavily on her.

As her daughter, I want to do whatever I can to help lighten that burden. I’m asking for support to help cover her everyday living expenses, including rent, utilities, groceries, transportation, and other bills while she is unable to work.

If you are able to contribute, no matter the amount, our family would be incredibly grateful. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this fundraiser and keeping her in your thoughts and prayers would mean just as much.
