Help Jen Regain Mobility and Purpose

Hi! My name is Jen. I've recently decided that I need to humble myself and ask for assistance. I'm a single Mom with 2 teens at home and am recently disabled.

Over the past 3 and a half years, I've suffered traumatic medical events due to a blood clotting disorder and advanced P.A.D. (artery disease). Last August, I lost my right leg because of it. It has been a very long, difficult road.

I'm asking for help getting my car converted to manual hand controls so that I can drive again. I live in rural Maine and it's practically impossible to do anything here without having a vehicle. That being said, I also plan on using it to do deliveries to earn extra income as we all know disability is not a living wage. But also, my mental health from being stuck at home all the time is not good. I was used to working. I loved my job at our local homeless shelter. It gave me purpose. If I was able to drive again, I would be able to help others again which is so important to me. I believe that serving others is very important to me because without the people who have helped me in the past, I don't know where I would be right now.

I know that times are tough for so many, and I expect nothing. But I do promise to pay it forward as soon as I'm able. I appreciate your taking the time to read about my plight. Thank you♡

To further explain , the funds will be used to fix whatever needs fixed to the car after sitting for 3 years, tires, converting the gas and the break to hand controls , having a consultant with the disability driving program out of Portland,they come access what will fit your vehicle , they make sure you adapt well by teaching how to use the equipment,etc. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
