Hi everyone and thanks so much for reading.
This morning, my housemates and I were alarmed to see firefighters putting out an electrical fire in the house next door. Our neighbor Jen's apartment had caught fire from an electrical shortage when she was not home, and her dog tragically passed away from the accident.
When I spoke to Jen she was in great distress and my heart broke for her. She has only been in Boston for two weeks and relocated for a job. She lost her belongings, her precious animal, priceless art, and doesn't have friends or family here to stay with. I wanted to do anything I could to help her recover while she goes through this awful time.
Please consider donating to Jen as she is starting from scratch in a new place. It must be so overwhelming to start a new life somewhere and immediately face the trauma of this horrible accident. Any funds raised will greatly help her as she is having to pay for hotel costs and ultimately replacing her lost belongings.
If you can donate clothing, she is in need of pants size 33x30 and size 8 men’s shoes.
Thanks so much for reading, let's show her the warmth that Boston is capable of in these tough times and cold months.
