Hi everyone, my name is Tori Sayre.

I’ve been Jen’s best friend since the 2nd grade, and right now she’s facing an unimaginable loss and could really use some support.

Jen and her partner Chris shared ten wonderful years together — building a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and four amazing dogs they adored like their children. I can honestly say Chris was her perfect match. Sadly, Chris passed away unexpectedly on October 29th, leaving Jen heartbroken and trying to navigate a life that changed overnight.

Jen, originally from Texas, had moved to Iowa to build a life with Chris. After his passing, she was given very little time to gather her things and leave their home. She managed to take what she could fit into her Honda Civic, but many of her belongings — along with countless memories — had to be left behind.

Now back in Texas, Jen is staying with her mom and trying to rebuild from the ground up. She currently has no job, no permanent place to live, and very few personal belongings. Her mom’s home is only a temporary option, and she’s under immense pressure to start over while still grieving this tremendous loss.

I’m doing everything I can to help her, but she truly needs a community right now. If you’re able to donate, please consider doing so — any amount makes a difference. And if you can’t give financially, leads on a job, donations of essentials, or even housing options would mean the world.
