As many of you know, in 2022, Jenny lost her fiancé, Adam, when he was killed tragically by a drunk driver. The loss devastated Jen, her four children and two grandchildren. Despite profound grief, Jenny continued moving forward for her family.
In July 2025, her world was turned upside down again!
We are hoping that we can help her get on her feet again and moving forward. Here is her story:
On July 10th, Jenny left work with severe shortness of breath. She was diagnosed with advanced heart failure. She was hospitalized for several days and was discharged on July 16th only to suffer a massive heart attack hours later. Multiple stents were placed to save her life, and she was discharged again on July 21st. She was working hard in cardiac rehab through August and September. Her cardiac strength was improving.
Then on October 13th, Jen suffered a hemorrhagic stroke that left her in the ICU for 20 days. During that time, she experienced life-threatening complications, including a dangerous heart rhythm that required two shocks and the placement of a pacemaker. She now wears an external defibrillator for added protection.
Through extensive rehabilitation therapy and determination Jenny graduated from the hospital to inpatient rehabilitation to begin the next phase of recovery. She has made remarkable progress and is now walking again with only a cane and continues to work several hours a day in therapy. She is scheduled to be released on January 15, 2026.
Jen has been out of work since July and is unable to return while she continues rehabilitation. She is currently applying for disability, which is a long and uncertain process. In the meantime, she needs help covering living expenses, medical costs, and necessary home modifications so she can recover safely at home.
Funds raised will help with:
- Household bills and daily living expenses
- Medical and rehabilitation costs
- Home modifications for safety and accessibility
- Financial support while awaiting disability approval
If you are able to donate, share, or offer encouragement, it would mean more than words can express. Every contribution helps Jen focus on healing and rebuilding her life, one step at a time.
Thank you for supporting Jen and her family during this incredibly difficult journey.
