Many of you have heard of Rev. Mike Rayon's recent untimely passing. His absence leaves not only a void for all who knew and loved him, but it has created unexpected financial pressure for his surviving family. Mike's wife Jen, currently has an 8-year-old and 13-year-old at home and now is reduced to a single income. Due to Mike's many health issues, there was no life insurance plan, leaving Jen to manage all after-life expenses. It was Mike's wish for his ashes to be scattered in his native country of Australia, specifically with his son Sam, who preceded him in death at age 11. So Jen will be traveling with the kids to Australia in the next few months to fulfill Mike's final wishes.
If you were ever touched by Mike's ministry, or enjoyed his (and his children's) musical talents, or had the pleasure of any of his family's company, or read this and can't imagine having to shoulder a financial burden like this alone, I ask you to give what you are able. While Mike dedicated his life to pastoral ministry, his wife has dedicated hers to educating and nurturing the minds of our youth. Your contributions will allow her to breathe, relax, and re-focus as she learns how to navigate her and her family's new future.
All contributions will go to Jen for her to determine how they're best used. Please, if you are able, I encourage you to donate. If you are not in a place to donate, please share the link so that others may see it.
*10/17/24 - UPDATE* To all who have contributed or shared, I can't thank you enough! You have made it possible for us to hit our initial goal! I've increased the next goal marker to $7,000. Continued support in either donations or sharing within your personal community are greatly appreciated.
