I never thought this would be me. On March 15 2025 I was diagnosed with optical cancer, and by March 16th I was almost completely blind. I've gone through 30 radiation treatments to fight this tumor on my optic nerve, and in doing so, depleted all my finances just trying to survive. At this time, it looks like I may not return to work. I am attempting to enroll in long-term disability, but that is a long process, and in the meantime, I cannot pay for everything - there's still medical bills, prescriptions, rent, etc. I've spent 22 years in human services helping others, and ironically, I'm now the one who needs help. Donations will only be used for basic needs. Any help would be a blessing, and more appreciated than you'll ever know.
