Help Jen and Frank Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
Jen and Frank Horton-Militello lost their entire house, six beloved pets, and everything they own to a devastating fire on March 2, 2025. They went out to dinner and returned to find their home engulfed in flames. They tried to rescue their pets but were only able to save one of their cats, Ronald. Three cats and three dogs were killed in the fire.
Jen and Frank moved to Madrid on June 1, 2024, with aspirations of the homestead lifestyle. Frank, a semi-retired electrician, cared for the animals - chickens, goats, cats, dogs, and 5 ducks. Jen works in Human Resources. They immersed themselves in their new community right away and volunteered at the local food pantry. They hope to rebuild and they need our help.
Their home held a special place in their community's heart. The town's only church is on the property, built by the original owner of their home. It was also once the post office for the railroad that passed right by. The property was purchased by the Bunnell family, who ran a farm and did maple sugaring. In 2017, Wes Moore did major upgrades to the home, completely transforming it. It was beautiful. Frank and Jen are hoping to rebuild the original house down to the finest details. Please help them in reaching their goal of $400,000 to achieve this.
God Bless you all and thank you.
