Help Jelly Bean Get Life-Saving Surgery

My name is Megan Muniak and this is my two year old cat, Jellybean.

I'd like to share a little bit about Jelly Bean before I go into any detail about his situation. Jelly Bean is my best friend and if you were to meet him he'd absolutely become yours too because he sincerely loves everyone he meets, human, cat, dog, or otherwise. When I found him, he was one of six kittens born to a barn cat, and I found them by sadly stepping on Jelly Bean. I rushed him to the emergency vet, begging "the little jelly bean of a kitten" to pull through no matter what and I promised I would do everything in my ability to help him. Somehow Jelly Bean survived the accident with nothing more than a bloody nose and when we were discharged from the vet I had my friend lock me in his barn until I found every single kitten and trapped (the at the time feral) mama to bring home with me until I could get them into better care.

Finding a shelter to take in Jelly Bean's family proved impossible. No shelter or foster homes would take them, so I called my vet and got some guidance from them on how to begin fostering them on my own. I was put in touch with a foster facility who apologized about not being able to take the cats but happily walked me through the process and introduced me to a series of fantastic people who helped me deworm mama and her babies, get them all vaccinated, acclimate their mom so she could find a furever home one day, and begin the interview process for adoptions.

Jelly Bean stayed at my side through it all, and fostering his family for the year that I did was the greatest and most rewarding challenge of my life, but now I need your help to keep my promise to take care of him.

October 23rd, Jelly Bean followed me to the bathroom to get ready for work where he lept into my bath tub and begun urinating blood. I rushed him to my vet to have his bladder drained, and they told me to monitor him over the weekend for any signs of straining. Everything was going well, he was eating, drinking, peeing and everything was looking bright until this morning when I found him straining to urinate again. My Fiance and I rushed him first to our regular vet, and then they referred us to the emergency vet where they managed his vitals until we were able to find a family vet that was capable of handling his surgery. October 29th we were able to find that vet and they helped bring Jelly Bean's vet bills down a significant amount, from $11,000 to $5,000.

Any amount of assistance from would be an incredible help in paying for Jelly Beans veterinary expenses. I thank you so much for considering helping Jelly Bean, it means the world to us.
