My son Jelani was diagnosed with autism and ADHD at the age of five. Now twelve, he has faced many challenges over the years, especially with speech and social interactions. Despite these difficulties, Jelani is a loving and playful child who is incredibly smart—he’s two grade levels ahead in math, even though he struggles with English. His journey has included speech therapy, adaptive behavior therapy, and eventually medication, but the side effects of these medications have been tough on him, sometimes causing dizziness and even fainting.

After learning about stem cell treatment in Turkey and hearing how it has helped other children with autism, I am hopeful that this could be the breakthrough Jelani needs. The funds raised will go directly toward his stem cell and bone marrow procedure, as well as the travel required for the seven-day visit. The treatment plan covers hotel, food, and transportation, making it possible for us to focus entirely on Jelani’s care and recovery.

A successful treatment would mean Jelani could reduce or even eliminate his need for medication, giving him a chance to thrive without the difficult side effects. My greatest hope is that this procedure will help him develop stronger social and cognitive skills, allowing him to express himself more fully and live a more independent, productive life.
