Donation protected
My friend Jefred in the Philippines is a great man with a beautiful young family, but he recently had a brain aneurysm. They need all the help they can get to pay for his care and assist in his recovery. I hope if many of us can come together and give a little it will be a great help to him and his family. Here is a plea from his sister that outlines what they need. Please consider giving.

Help My Brother Jefred Fight for His Life

My name is Jessamine Bajao Viagedor, and I am reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your kindness and support for my brother, Jefred Ecay Bajao.

Jefred is a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a full-time mission in Olongapo, Philippines, and today he continues to serve as a councilor in the Iligan Philippines Stake Presidency. He is married and blessed with five beautiful children, ages 18, 16, 13, 10, and 8.

At 45 years old, Jefred is more than just my brother — he is my only sibling and the only family I have left. After both our parents passed away, Jefred lovingly stood as my parents. He has always been by my side, supporting me and my family, and it breaks my heart to see him now fighting for his life.

A few weeks ago, Jefred’s blood pressure spiked dangerously high, causing a vessel in his brain to burst. He underwent major emergency brain surgery, where doctors had to open his skull to drain the blood and save his life. Since then, he has been in the hospital battling complications, including infection, fever, and lung issues. Yet, by God’s grace, he continues to show signs of improvement. I know he is fighting, and I believe he will overcome this long and difficult journey.

Jefred is not only my brother — he is a devoted husband and father. His wife and children need him, and I know he still has more callings to fulfill in this world. He has touched many lives through his service and kindness, and I believe he will bless many more if given the chance to recover.

But the road ahead is overwhelming. His partial hospital bill — not including the surgeries, surgeons’ fees, doctors’ fees, and anesthesiologist’s fees — has already reached 1.3 million pesos. On top of this, We are doing everything to cover his daily needs: caregiver’s fees, medicines, and medical supplies, many of which must be purchased outside the hospital pharmacy.

We are doing everything we can, but we cannot do this alone. This is why I am humbly asking for your help. Any amount, no matter how small, will go a long way in supporting my brother’s recovery. If you are unable to give financially, we would be deeply grateful if you could include him in your prayers and share this campaign with others.

This will be a long journey, but with your generosity and prayers, I believe my brother will win this fight. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with us during this most difficult time.

With gratitude,
Jess Viagedor
