If a mountain of medical and therapy bills weren’t enough, then debilitating fear and chronic depression – despite years of life-saving therapy -- would probably do most of us in.
Meeting her, though, you’d never know my seemingly hale and hearty sister had suffered abuse in our home as a young child. She greets all with warmth, humor and energy at her job at the senior center. And yet, after work, she goes home to a solitary life, nearly paralyzed by worry.
Jennifer has cut expenses in every possible way. A year from now when a colleague retires, she will apply for a higher-paying job that will reduce the chokehold that her creditors have on her. But, in the interim, despite working three jobs, she faces bankruptcy and even homelessness.
Please help Jennifer bridge this gap until she can support herself. This May, the interest will come due on her credit cards. Therefore, the immediate goal of this drive is to pay off her credit card debt which she has incurred trying to keep up with medical bills. Thank you for even your smallest donation on her behalf.
