Help my mom leave her bad situation

Hello! My name is Jeff and I'm writing this on behalf of my mother. She's deaf without much education and it's challenging to find work that pays well. Up until recently, she's been living by herself in a one-bedroom apartment trying to make ends meet.
A month ago, she signed a lease with a friend to move into a 2-bedroom apartment in SeaTac, Washington and has moved in. This was mutual agreement that would allow her friend to stay somewhere affordable while in the area, and also let my mom finally lower her expenses so she could put some money in savings.
Unfortunately, her friend did not follow through and could not move in, despite already signing the lease. This leaves my mom on the hook with a lease through October for an apartment she cannot afford alone.
I'm hoping we can get some help for her to buy her out of her lease so she can move into a place that is more affordable. The property manager is gracious enough to only charge my mom a 1 month rent penalty, but that means that if we move her out by the end of February, she will have to pay March’s rent for there AND her new place.
We don’t need a ton, but enough to cover the unforeseen expenses.
My mom is an amazing woman and I’m who I‘ve become largely because of her. She doesn’t deserve the predicament she’s in and, although we are willing to buckle down to solve this financial problem, a little help would go a long way.
