Help Jeffry become a Mam Healthcare Interpreter
Jeffry is a graduate of Rudsdale Newcomer High School in Oakland who immigrated to the US in 2018. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Mam and aspires to become a professional healthcare interpreter. He is inspired by the experiences of his family who struggled to navigate the healthcare system because of the language barrier, and seeks to gain the skills to help his people who do not understand Spanish and English get the quality healthcare they deserve.
Jeffry has been accepted into the Highway to Healthcare Interpreter Program for English, Spanish, and Mam speakers through which he will partake in hospital shadowing and study in the City College San Francisco Healthcare Interpreter Certificate Program for the '23-'24 academic year. Jeffry is fundraising for the costs of attending the CCSF Program ($800) and transportation to/from the program for the year ($600), and a computer to use for the duration of the program ($1000).
