Hello, my name is Kara. My fiancé's name is Jeffrey. Next week will be our six year anniversary and we will not be celebrating the way we want to. Well, where do I start... Jeff has been diagnosed with NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) and cirrhosis of the liver a few years ago. Cirrhosis is scarring of the liver that will eventually cause his liver to shut down on him. Well, that time is now, and he is in the hospital having issues due to that and is deemed terminally ill. The doctors are talking to him now about a possible transplant and going on a list because it is getting close to that time. This disease is causing a lot of complications in his life right now, and through it all, he’s still doing the best he can. This means losing the time he should be spending with his 10-year-old son doing their favorite things like fishing and gaming together.

Jeff’s doctor officially took him out of work due to his diagnosis worsening and being in end stage liver disease he doesn’t think it is safe anymore for him.
